St Joseph's Hospital is undergoing some minor renovations this week

"We're doing some renovations at our main admission desk," explained Greg Hoffart, Executive Director at St Joseph's Hospital. "We're updating our switchboard patient admission portion of the hospital which is at the main entrance at St Joseph's Hospital. Just doing some renovations to modernize it, to update things, to improve patient flow, and also improve patient confidentiality and privacy, as well as some ergonomic issues for the staff."

"It's an exciting change that we've been in the planning stages of for some time and the renovations are taking place this week."

He added that the majority of the renovations will be done this week with the installation of glass panels and some finishing touches to be done in the next few weeks.

"It's not a large change for patients coming in. It will enhance patient flow which is what we're always seeking to do. Our present building is 28 years old so it's in need of some updating, some modernization and always with patient care and flow in mind."
