An inspiring story arose out of the Humboldt Broncos bus accident involving Logan Boulet who lost his life in the tragedy on Friday, April 6.

Just over one month ago on his 21st birthday, Boulet signed up to become an organ donor, and following his passing, his organs will and have helped save the lives of six others through various transplants. Boulet's generous act has triggered thousands across the country to follow in his foot steps, including here in Estevan.

"Humboldt Bronco Logan Boulet made known his intention to become an organ donor," explained St. Josephs Hospital Executive Director, Greg Hoffart. "This young mans act of heroism has already directly saved lives, and through the wave of folks that he's inspired to sign their donor cards, he will undoubtedly save thousands indirectly."

On Tuesday, April 17 at game three of the SJHL final in Estevan, staff from the St. Joseph's Hospital will be in attendance to honor Boulet and share information on how you could become a donor.

"Our intention is to distribute donor cards and provide information to those who are interested in spreading the news that way, with the goal of increasing many more to join Logan on his mission."

"We look forward to many joining us and signing donor cards in Logan's memory," Hoffart said.
