Much of southern Saskatchewan is cleaning up after storms passing through the region. The intense thunderstorms brought rain, winds, hail, and in some cases, tornadoes.

There were confirmed tornadoes near Cantaur and Chaplin, with a possible tornado reported near Coronach. There were also a number of funnels clouds spotted throughout the region as well, prompting tornado warnings.

Weyburn was spared the worst of the storm, as it appeared to split, and shift to the north and south of the city. There was a short shower, and high winds were also reported.

Estevan saw around 16 millimetres of rain, and areas to the west of that city, such as Torquay and Oungre, saw similar conditions.

South of the border, the town of Plentywood, Montana was hit extremely hard, with reports of tornadoes and severe damage. No injuries were reported.

Environment Canada is expecting more storms to pop up thanks to the heat we are going to be experiencing today. We will keep you up to date throughout the day as those storms develop.
