As the days tick by, getting closer to winter, the town of Stoughton is preparing for colder days.

"Right now," shared Tom Creighton, Shop Superintendent, "we're in the midst of flushing fire hydrants and water lines then draining the hydrants and getting them prepared with antifreeze for the winter."

The town is also doing some road patching, although the weather has not cooperated as of late.

He added that they are also in the process of shutting down the golf course and swimming pool.

"We have all the irrigation lines drained and blown out. The swimming pool, we're finishing off getting it drained and cleaned out."
