The EPS had another busy night last night keeping drugs and alcohol out of the hand of people who should know better. Constable Gropp with the EPS shares the incidents and how they were handled.

"Police were parked near a local business that sells alcohol. The officer observed a person purchase alcohol and then give it to a group of youth that were waiting in a different vehicle. The adult was issued a ticket for giving a minor alcohol with a fine of $1000 dollars and the youth were given a ticket for minors possessing alcohol for a fine of $360 dollars."

It didn't take police long to come in contact with a person who was driving under the influence. Constable Gropp.

"A traffic stop resulted in a male driver being issued a 60-day license suspension and a 3-day vehicle impoundment for driving while under the influence of a drug, he was also issued a ticket for possessing Cannabis in a vehicle which resulted in a $360 dollar fine."

The EPS would like to again remind everyone that there are absolutely zero reasons to be behind the wheel under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
