Tourism Estevan is looking to build off their successes in 2017.

"We have some big changes moving into 2018," shared Rebecca Westling, Destination Marketing Communications officer. "With Tourism Saskatchewan, what they have done in the past is they have closed down all of their Visitor Centres. This will be the third year they have not been running them. Also, they won't be producing a visitor guide this year, they'll just be doing a map. We will be doing a visitor guide but we will be shutting sown the Visitor Centre and transferring it over to Leisure Centre this year."

In 2017, Tourism Estevan launched #ExperienceEstevan, a social media campaign that showed the difference experience Estevan and the surrounding communities has to offer. Westling hopes to continue with that success.

"We're really pushing for the 2018 year, experiencing things in Estevan. One of the big things is experiencing large mouth bass fishing because it is so unique here in Western Canada. It's really quite unique because the Boundary Dam doesn't freeze over so those large mouth bass really survive and thrive throughput the winter and that's what makes Boundary Dam a perfect place for those large mouth bass fisherman to come. If you're a fisherman, that's the elite of fishing because they put up a really good fight."

Westling adds that she is looking froward to experiencing even more of Estevan and the southeast corner of Saskatchewan.
