The Town of Carlyle is looking cautiously to the future as they prepare to examine their budget in the coming weeks, as well as finish projects carrying over from the year before.

"Right now we're looking at completing the bridge work on Railway Avenue. We're looking at our strategic plan for 2018, and just finishing some of the projects from 2017," said Mayor Wayne Orsted.

The bridge was replaced in December, and operation is still on going on culverts and such to get it back up and running. Orsted noted that their strategic plan will be taking the budget into strong consideration.

"2017 fared okay. Looking at 2018, with the expenditures we're looking at right now, it's going to be tight," he stated.
