Carlyle RCMP responded to a vehicle collision Friday evening.

"On September 2nd at 3:00 pm Carlyle RCMP, Carlyle fire department and Supreme Ambulance responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 13, 3 kilometers west of Carlyle," explained Constable Bryan Marchuk with the Carlyle RCMP.

"The vehicle driver and passenger of the truck had no injuries while the driver of the motorcycle was taken to Arcola hospital by Supreme Ambulance and later air lifted to Regina by STARS in critical condition."

"Highway 13 was close for 6 hours, during this time traffic was rerouted on nearby grid roads," he stated.

*UPDATE*

The 75 year old female driver of the motorcycle has died of her injuries. Her name will not be released to the public at this time. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and Carlyle RCMP continue to investigate.
