The Estevan Legion has been the place to be today. Students, dancers, singers and proud parents have been streaming into the building all day long.

"Day One has gone really well," shares United Way President Patrick Fisher. "We've has all the schools coming in. It's great. They provide both entertainment and they usually do a bunch of fundraising and present us with a cheque afterwards which is phenomenal."

Looking forward to tomorrow, Fisher shared his excitement about reaching their goal of $325,000.

"I'm very confident. The community of Estevan has always stepped up. They understand the importance of the Estevan United Way and the role of the member agencies play in the community. They've always stepped up in both good times and bad and I am very confident that we will reach our goal."

"I'm looking forward to the closing band, The Way. The last couple hours are usually high energy, emotions start to run high as we get closer to our goal. The last couple hours usually end up being such a party for everyone in the room."
