Sirens were heard over the lunch hour as emergency crews attended a motor vehicle accident just north of the Highway 47 and Highway 39 truck bypass intersection.

"A westbound vehicle was crossing Highway 47 and collided with a southbound car. One vehicle had to be towed, and the other was drivable," stated Corperal Craig Park with the Estevan RCMP.

"There was some minor injuries, they were all assessed at the scene and later released."

One of the drivers was charged with disobeying a stop sign under the Traffic Safety Act.

Traffic was slowed through the area for only about half an hour, as the car was pulled out of the ditch and the scene was cleaned up.
