All 21 lives on board that flight were lost.

"He (Jones) did a beautiful job on the Soldier Tree, and now he'll be sculpting the faces of the fallen airmen," shared Mayor Roy Ludwig.

September will also be proclaimed by the Mayor as Prostate Cancer Awareness month, with some associated ways to mark the occasion.

"It's a dreadful thing, and unfortunately many men get it. We're looking at probably lighting up either the tree in front or the Soldier Tree in blue to commemorate that."
