Saskatchewan's COVID-19 case count dipped slightly on Monday.

279 cases were reported province-wide, down from the 320 cases that were confirmed on Sunday.

As well, the seven-day average of daily new cases also dropped and is now at 319.

In Estevan's South East Sub Zone 4, seven new cases of the virus have been identified, bringing the active count down to 135.

There are now 254 active cases in the entire South East Zone.

On Monday the province also announced that six COVID-19 patients were brought to Ontario to help manage overcrowding in intensive care units.

Premier Scott Moe has also asked the federal government to send additional healthcare workers who can work in ICUs.
