It's another great fundraising event meant to bring the community together to support an excellent cause. It will be a day to ring the phones, as the 6th annual Radiothon-For-Life, put on by the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, will take place on April 5th.

"We are so fortunate to have a very generous and supportive community that makes things possible, and we are very much looking forward to this year," expressed Hospital Executive Director Greg Hoffart.

"We are very fortunate to have the Golden West Radio teams in again all day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, raising money for a great reason."

Hoffart said that this year much of the funds will go towards the purchase of new endoscopy apparatus, in order to enable the local physicians to continue their dedicated service.

"That equipment is aging and in need of replacement, so we are pleased that the Foundation has stepped up to take that on as a major inititiave."

"One of our goals is to have as many services closer to or in Estevan as possible, so that the folks of the community can access that without going to Regina. We have the skilled staff and surgeon and the equipment, and that is what is necessary to make that service possible," he concluded.
