Shortly before midnight, police arrested a man in connection to the abduction of a girl. Prince Albert Police notified the public that 19 year-old Jared John Charles of St.Louis Saskatchewan, had been taken into police custody.

Charles is acused of abducting the eight year-old girl from a Prince Albert playground on Tuesday afternoon.

This isn’t the first time Charles has been arrested in connection with an Amber Alert. He was charged with the abduction of two boys from La Ronge in September of last year. The boys were later found safe in St. Louis, Sask.

The Amber Alert issued by the Saskatchewan RCMP on behalf of the Prince Albert Police Service has been canceled.

The eight-year-old girl has been found safe.
