Here's an approximate timeline for what transpired yesterday during an armed police stand off in Estevan.

9:30 a.m. - Estevan police are called to a home on the 600th block of 4th Street for a report of a domestic assault.

10:00 a.m. - Traffic is blocked off in both directions on 4th Street.

10:30 a.m. - Weyburn police, RCMP, and swat team members all arrive on scene.

11:00 a.m. - A house on 4th Street is completely surrounded by officers and members of the swat team. Residents are asked to move back and stay away from the scene. The power in the area is turned off by SaskPower.

1:00 p.m. - A letter from the suspect's brother is delivered to the house by police. Police pry the front door open with a piece of equipment.

2:00 p.m. - Family members of the suspect arrive on scene. Larger stretches of 4th Street are blocked to vehicle traffic, along with a stretch of 7th Avenue.

2:30 p.m. - Estevan Police Chief Rich Lowen confirms they are dealing with a domestic dispute, and confirms that a male suspect has barricaded himself inside the house. Lowen also confirms that the suspect is alone in the house.

3:00 p.m. - The suspect can be seen stepping out on to his front porch and yelling at police.

3:30 p.m. - Swat team members use a ladder to throw something through the window of the house.

4:00 p.m. - The suspect can be seen stepping out on to his front porch and throwing something into the front yard.

5:00 p.m. - The suspect can be seen stepping out on to his front porch, where he is shot by two foam bullets from police and quickly goes back into the house.

7:00 p.m. - The suspect emerges from the house and is apprehended and arrested by police. He is taken into custody.
