Former Estevan Bruins forward and Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League scoring champion Scott Burfoot was inducted into the East Coast Hockey League Hall of Fame during the league's all-star weekend in Savannah, Ga.

The Winnipeg native played with the Bruins in 1986-87 and 1987-88, piling up 56 goals and 75 assists in 60 games during his second campaign for an SJHL-best 131 points.

Burfoot racked up 290 points over four NCAA Division III seasons with Mercyhurst College, and went on to score 148 goals and 279 assists for 427 points in 298 games over six seasons with the Erie Panthers, Roanoke Valley Rampage, Huntsville Blast, and Richmond Renegades.

His 20-year-old son Zach has nine goals and 10 assists in 16 games with the Bruins this season.
