With the construction season just a few weeks away, the City of Estevan is advising residents of some of the projects that will be taking place this spring.

According to Mayor Gary St. Onge, projects include work on the King Street. and Kensington intersection, 4th Street paving commencing at the 900 block, and watermain replacement on Henry Street and Spruce Drive.

The Ministry of Highways will also be completing a major rehabilitation of the overpass just east of the 4th Street and Kensington intersection, resulting in a major detour of the traffic through Estevan.

At this week's regular meeting, Members of Estevan City Council reviewed the rezoning of two parcels of land, in order to create more residential lots within the city.

The first will see a commercially zoned parcel of land in the Bay Meadows subdivision changed into three single-detached resident lots inclusive of additional municipal reserve property.
