Hundreds of residents gathered at the Estevan Comprehensive School yesterday to remember those who have lost their lives in battle, our veterans, and troops currently serving.

One of the highlights of the Citywide Remembrance Day Service was the reading of the Roll of Honour, by David Laing, the President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch Number Sixty.

Second Lieutenant Greg Salmers of the Saskatchewan Dragoons was the Guest Speaker for the event.

The service concluded with the laying of wreaths at the cenotaph by representatives from a number of organizations including the City of Estevan, the Governments of Saskatchewan and Canada, the Estevan Police Service, the Salvation Army, and the Aboriginal People of Canada.
