The Estevan Police Service reported several matters they dealt with Tuesday, including one which resulted in criminal charges.

Police arrested a 52-year-old man in a local hotel room. He was found to be in the room with a woman he's on conditions to not have contact with. Police reported he was found to be breaching another condition of his release and was held for court. He's appearing Wednesday in court on the charges.

A report was given to police of a male going through vehicles in the southeast end of the city. Police couldn't locate the male, but are reminding the public to secure their vehicles and not leave any valuables in plain view from the outside.

A driver was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for operating a vehicle in a careless manner on a school parking lot after police received a complaint.

Another traffic-related complaint was received relating to a white Ford Mustang. The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a disturbance from a residence in the south end of the city. They spoke to one of the parties involved, and that matter is also under investigation.

And police are advising the public to not give any information to predatory calls trying to scam people. A woman reported being called by someone claiming there was a warrant out for her arrest. The woman blocked the number. The EPS is reminding the public warrants for arrest are not cleared up over the phone.
