The Estevan Comprehensive School's Choral Group held a showcase on Tuesday evening with many talented students

"Tuesday night we had our showcase," explained Levi Stepp, "it incorporated a little bit of everything because it was a showcase, so we wanted to show off everything that we've done throughout the year and last month or so. There was anything from rock and pop to musical theatre and Broadway and stuff like that, and before the show started, we had prelude where we had opening acts, and you could show off talents as a duet, quartet or whatever you wanted kind of thing as a group of people or solo. Last night was a really good performance, it was the best we've ever done all those songs, so it was good. We had our hight, and we peaked at the right time, so that was good. We had the dress rehearsal before last night, and some things could be fixed and some things that you can't fix but when we came back and performed it was a lot better."

The Choral group began back in 2015 according to Levi, "I have been with the choral program here since my grade nine year, so four years now and I am one of the 'original three ' as we like to call it, with Ciara Dayman and Cole McCaskill. As when we were in grade nine, we didn't have choir as a class, so we took it as an extracurricular during our lunch hour and gave up our lunch hour to do it, so the three of us were the original three. We have been in it all together for four years, and it's been a good four years.

Mrs.Wilhelmis the instructor of the group and when she is unavailable Levi noted that he would step up and help her out. He is also hoping the program will continue long after he has graduated from ECS.

"For me, in the future, it will continue because I'll be going to Performing Arts School at Randolph College for the Performing Arts in Toronto and that incorporates everything. We have musical theatre classes, but one of our classes is a choir class, so what I've learned here will definitely help me in the future and will always be with me as I enjoy being in choirs and such. So whenever there is an opportunity to be in a community choir, I will definitely be interested in joining it.  I hope it keeps building and I look forward to seeing what comes in and all that, and to see who comes in and the talent and what Mrs Wilhelm does with the program."
