UPDATE:

The Saskatchewan RCMP said there were two passengers in the car that collided with the train. They were transported to hospital as a precaution.

Midale Fire and Rescue and EMS attended the scene along with the Estevan RCMP. 


Canadian Pacific Railway has provided a few details regarding a collision with a vehicle that happened last night in Macoun.

"At approximately 8 p.m. yesterday, a CP freight train struck a vehicle at the railway crossing on Bisset Street (Township Road 44) in Macoun, Sask," wrote a spokesperson via email. "There were no injuries to the crew. CP Police and the RCMP are investigating the incident."

There's no word on whether there were injuries sustained by any passengers in the vehicle.

The vehicle reportedly received extensive damage.
