The Canadian Red Cross has declared November as National CPR Month to remind individuals throughout the country that knowing what to do in critical moments can save lives.

Red Cross CPR training teaches people the signs of a heart attack and how to react quickly and effectively.

Over 350,000 people are trained in CPR by the Canadian Red Cross each year.

Rebecca Bangko explains that the Canadian Red Cross wants individuals throughout the province to know that the proper way to administer CPR has changed and has become easier.

Recent research and new international CPR guidelines have made it easier to learn, retain and perform CPR.
