A Halloween party was held at Rodeo Dawg on Saturday, with the proceeds going towards Bright Eyes Dog Rescue. Many people came out in their Halloween costumes to get a photo done with their pets. The event also featured pumpkin painting, a BBQ, some tasty treats and a friendly donkey, as well as many puppies.

"We have some 12-week-old shepherd/hound mixes, and they are all up for adoption," explained Candace Williamson, chair of the board of Directors for BEDR. "They are named after the show 'Cheers.' We also have Maddie, who is a mom to some of the other pups that we have in our care, and she is going for up for adoption soon. Then Koopa, who is an 11-month-old shepherd mix who is also not quite up for adoption yet, but he will be in the next month or so."

The event gave all the dogs a chance to socialize with new people and the chance to find them forever homes.

"It’s a great turn out there with a lot of families coming down to get pictures with their pets or without their pets in their costume; as well as a lot of kids coming to carve pumpkins and it’s been an awesome day."
