Saturday November 28th Day Shift-

Members arrested and charged a 31 year old Estevan male for Impaired Driving and Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample, after a RID call (Report Impaired Driver) in the area of a downtown bar.

Members mediated a civil dispute over rent of storage space and the return of property within. No further police action should be required.

Members responded to a 911 call at the Leisure Center, culprits were gone on arrival.

Officers assisted Conversation Officers with trying to locate a subject regarding a Wildlife Act investigation. The matter is still under the investigation.

Night Shift-

Saturday Evening Police were alerted to a possible impaired driver. Police located the vehicle and spoke to an elderly male that was operating the vehicle. The Estevan male was not intoxicated and he was warned about his driving actions.

Police were called to a local business on a call of some patrons being unruly and not paying the bill. Police located the individuals and they were warned about their behavior and made to pay there bill before being escorted out of the premises.

Police were called about a couple being harassed while driving. Police took a statement about the incident and the matter is under investigation.

A vehicle was checked for speeding and the occupants were found to be in possession of open alcohol. The occupants were charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol. The fine for that charge is $360..

Sunday November 29th Day Shift-

Night Shift -

Sunday evening Police were doing vehicle checks for sobriety when officers located a vehicle driving with out its headlights on. A subsequent check located an Alberta male driving while intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with impaired driving. He will appear later in December to answer to the charge.

Police conducted a traffic stop on a driver that was speeding. An investigation ensued when drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle. A 18 year old Estevan female was charged with possession of a controlled substance. The driver was also charged with the speeding offense.

Monday November 30th Day Shift-

-Nothing to report.

Night Shift-

Police mediated a family dispute between a teen and parents. Matter resolved with no further police intervention needed.

Members responded to a 911 hang-up, where a domestic between ex-common laws had been on going. One party left when he learned police were en route.

Tuesday December 1st Day Shift-

-Nothing to report.

Night Shift-

Members conducted multiple curfew checks on individuals on court ordered conditions. A 22 year old Estevan male was found not to be at home and will be charged with breach of Undertaking and a warrant sought for his arrest.

Officers responded to a domestic in the core area. One of the involved parties was transported to safe location for the evening and the matter remains under investigation.

Members attended to a burglar alarm at a local business, the door was open but nothing missing. Nothing suspicious was found and the matter is concluded pending further information.

Wednesday December 2nd Day shift-

-Nothing to report.

Night Shift-

Police were called to a northeast residence to a report of a domestic disturbance. Police spoke to a female who advised the male had left prior to Police arrival. The matter remains under investigation.

Police attended a downtown residence to check a male to see if he was in compliance with conditions that he agreed to follow on a previous release from custody. The male was found in possession of a controlled substance and was arrested. He was held in custody and will appear before the Provincial Court Judge on Thursday. The male faces charges of breach of probation, breach of his undertaking and possession of a controlled substance.

Police received a call about a possible impaired driver coming from a local establishment. The vehicle was located and the driver was checked roadside. The man passed a roadside test and was sent on his way.

Police have received a couple harassment complaints over the last few days. The one matter was able to be dealt with very quickly but the other is a matter that has continued to occur since September. Police are interviewing some additional witnesses in the case and have lumped all five occurrences together. The cases are primarily harassment complaints but one is a complaint of the person publishing defamatory libel that they know is false. Police continue to investigate with additional witnesses scheduled to speak to police.

Thursday December 3rd Day Shift-

Night Shift-

Police had a hit and run reported early in the evening. The offending vehicle was located a short time later and short distance from the collision scene. The driver was charged under the traffic safety act for failing to report damage to the other owner.

Police had a call about and erratic driver. Statements obtained and the driver of the offending vehicle was located and charged under the traffic safety act.

Police stopped and Alberta driver and he was given a 3 day drivers license suspension after providing breath samples and having a result just under the legal limit.

Friday December 4th Day Shift-

Police laid charges is regards to a harassment incident earlier in the week. More from the investigation can be found here

Night Shift-

Police were called to a Mobile Home Park over a dispute between wages and rent. Police mediated a resolution for the evening. Further investigation into possible theft or possession of stolen property to follow.

Police were called to a liquor establishment to a report of a fight in the lobby. Members attended and arrested a number of persons. None of the persons involved wanted to pursue assault charges. The parties were sent on their way for the evening.

Police attended to local fast food establishment to the report of Mischief. The front window of the business was broke. Members located the individual responsible several blocks away. He was arrested and treated for cuts to his hands by Emergency Services. He was lodged in cells to be released on charges for Willful Damage. He will appear in Court in February.

Police received a report of male banging his head on a power pole, singing and yelling to himself. He was arrested and lodged in cells until sober to ensure he was supervised for his own safety.

Police arrested another male in his mid twenties for Being Intoxicated in public and passed out in a business entrance. He was lodged to be released when sober.

Police arrested a suicidal male, intoxicated and running in traffic. He was lodged in cells to be released only after assessed by Medical personnel.
