The EPS are joining other police agencies from around the province to participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. This year will have to be different due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Normally they would run together but Special Olympics Saskatchewan will be hosting a virtual torch run instead.

The EPS wants to raise $5000 and they need your help.

Yesterday afternoon they reached $670 out of their $5000 goal.

That's 13 percent of the goal.

Police Chief Paul Ladouceur said they can't do it alone.

"The Estevan Police Service is determined to reach or surpass our fundraising goal to help Special Olympics and their athletes."

You do not have to be a police officer to participate in the virtual torch run. You just have to log onto the Special Olympics Saskatchewan’s website and create a fundraising page.

Then just log in kilometres by walking, running, cycling or using a treadmill.

Every dollar helps.
