The EPYC Closet event hosted this weekend by the EPYC (Estevan Public Youth Centre) made a big difference for a lot of local families.

The director of the program Adam Elliott was thrilled with the turnout. Noting that there was a line-up of around 20 people before the event began.

“Everything was a dollar just to help all the different families out and people in the area to get some clothes for themselves, for their kids. For anyone who needs it."

The event brought in over $500 with the proceeds going back into EPYC. Due to the success of the event, and the surplus of clothes donated from around the community, EPYC plans to host similar events in the future. No dates have been set but they are hoping for December or January.

EPYC is open for youth drop-in Wednesday through Saturday.
