Estevan Fire and Rescue (EFR) responded to several calls over the past week, including a gas odour and a two-vehicle collision.

On May 30 at 1:30 p.m., EFR responded to a gas odour investigation in the city's northwest area. The odour was determined to be caused by cleaning work in the area. It was confirmed that there were no leaks, and crews returned to the station.

On June 1 at 11:15 p.m., crews were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision. They assisted EMS and RCMP with the incident and remained on the scene throughout the night.

The following day, at 7:10 p.m., crews were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm in the northern part of the city. Crews investigated and determined the alarm was due to accidental activation of a pull station. EFR assisted in resetting the system alarm and cleared the scene.
