This morning myself, Molly, and Kristie headed on over to the Humane society here in Estevan where we met with Liz. She told us a bit about what to look for on your pets now that tick season is here and the spots where you would typically find them. Around their face especially the ears is a hot spot for the ticks to cling onto and they can also be found on their bellies and warm areas of your pet's body. Of course, it is also important to check everywhere just to be safe.

She also told us about their adoption process and everything that comes with adopting an animal from them.  The animals from the Estevan Humane Society are all looking to go to their forever homes especially the cats. Currently, they are taking care of 41 cats that need to be adopted. If you choose to adopt a cat from the Humane Society you can be assured that they have their vaccinations, rabies shots, and de-worming as well as being spayed or neutered.

The Estevan Humane Society is a non-profit organization and any donations are greatly appreciated; they need many different things to run the Humane Society on a daily basis including cat litter, food, and cleaning supplies.
