Several people enjoying the city's walking and biking paths on the weekend were startled by e-bikes, and let the Estevan Police Service know.

Recapping the weekend, Sgt. Tyler McMillen said they're hearing concern over the e-bikes, which are quiet and can travel fairly quickly.

"We just want to remind the public who have e-bikes, please enjoy them. But when you find pedestrians on those narrow pathways, sometimes the speed of them startles other users. So please use caution, be courteous to other users of those pathways."

McMillen added that people can expect to see police out on their UTV in the near future.
