A second DiscoverEstevan charity barbecue on Tuesday brought in funds for another local organization, and this time it was the Estevan Public Youth Centre.

A total of $1,025 was raised.

EPYC Executive Director Adam Elliott said the funds will really help the centre given that they have extended hours in the summer.

"That really helps us keep the doors open longer for the youth," he said. "That money really helps us to keep the place open for them and to have the different events and games for them."

"It was really wonderful, really appreciate the community to come together like this."

The barbecue was hosted at Toe Bean Co, which is a pet store that opened its doors for the first time Tuesday.

Next week's barbecue will be in support of the Estevan Early Years Family Resource Centre. It'll be hosted at Global Golf Plus.
