The Estevan Humane Society just held their kids camp.

Angela Predde with the Humane Society, "The day was great. We had 15 kids and it ran from 11 am-3 pm. We did some yoga with 2 of our dogs, Ruby and Poco, some painting of rocks and pots, learned about how to recognize when a cat is angry or scared and what to do when you’re meeting a new dog for the first time. We also read a story about a boy getting his kitten from a shelter, had some snacks and did some mural colouring."

The day was such a success that Predde mentions, "I believe we will do it again but we don’t have a date set yet. I really enjoyed seeing how excited the kids got when spending time with the animals and learning about animal safety. I hope we made an early impact on them and maybe we’ll even see some of them back to spend more time with the animals!"
