The Estevan Bruins are thrilled with their First Annual Night Golf Tournament, held Saturday at Hidden Valley Golf & RV Resort.

The event featured cocktails in the afternoon before a round of golf during the day, dinner and an auction after the first nine holes, and nine holes of night golf to close things out.

"It was my first experience with night golf, and it was a blast," said Bruins head coach and general manager Jason Tatarnic. "I got to shoot a couple shots here and there. But mostly I went around and watched the teams play and it looked like everyone had a great time, especially with the night golf."

The total amount of money raised is still being calculated. A portion of the proceeds will go to a local family in need.

Tatarnic said he's looking forward to round two in 2024.

"Everyone that did it, they definitely want to do it again. We definitely want the event to grow. We're looking to add more teams and putting on an event that's not too big and not too small so that everyone enjoys everything."

Dinner was provided by the Tower Café, and Baker Hughes supplied transportation home for golfers. Bruins players were also there.
