Today, fifteen year old Carlyle resident, Gillian Maher has organized a fundraising concert which will spotlight some of Saskatchewan's youth who have taken matters into their own hands to pursue their dreams in the musical field.

These performers are on a quest to raise money for Maher who received a scholarship to travel to Ireland and participate in a Fiddlers retreat.

Maher explains that she received the honour after Irish Fiddler Theresa Burke took an interest in her music at the 2007 John Arcand Fiddle Fest and offered her and another participant a scholarship.

The fundraising concert kicks off at 2:00 at the Carlyle Memorial Hall.
