Some new food is going to be hosted in Affinity Place's concession stall this hockey season, as Butters Homemade Food is moving into the space.

Their food truck started this summer, first appearing in the southeast at the Estevan Fair in June.

Since then Shaun Klassen, who co-owns the business with his wife, has received plenty of compliments for his food.

So far they've received a lot of support from the community during all the events they've attended this year.

"It's been very good, taken off, and good reviews. There might have been complaints, but no one just said anything really. That's just the homemade food, right? You can't get that stuff anymore. Everything's frozen and made God knows where."

Klassen said he's ready for a whole new cooking opportunity.

"The opportunity came up and we thought about it and went after it. Ended up getting it and we're just super excited to get in there."

"It's going to be a big change. Going from an 8 by 20 trailer to a 40 by 40 kitchen, We'll be able to pump out a lot of food in a hurry."

Klassen says that rink-goers can expect similar food to what's been offered previously at the truck.

"It will be all homemade, the same as what we have in our trailer that we do in the summer. Homemade burgers, fries, chicken fingers, mac and cheese balls, all homemade. I guess the one thing that we won't have is that's not homemade is popcorn chicken, because I guess the kids just love that stuff."Uh,

Klassen says he's looking forward to the hockey season and expects to have a busy season.
