Mayor Kaylah Turner had this to say, "The 29th Annual Border Classic happened over the weekend with a great turn out for a round of golf."

It all started on Friday night with 4 man teams all and Turner added, "wrapping up Saturday with prizes and an amazing supper."

"The Humane Society hosted a BBQ on Saturday raising just over $500.00 with all proceeds going to the no-kill shelter." And Tunrer added, "They will be presented with a cheque for $500.00, as well."

Make sure you mark your calendars because Turner tells us that, "Next year rings in 30 years of the Border Classic Tournament and we look forward to going all out. Everyone is welcome to put in a team."

"Sundays are free all season and you are very welcome to come experience Gateway Cities Golf Course for yourself."

It was a great tournament and make sure you stay up to date for everything happening next year.
