The province recently announced the results from its newest oil and gas public offerings, which occurred on February 1.
From that offering, $6.1 million dollars was raised, with just over $5 million of that money coming from the Weyburn and Estevan area.
That is the highest amount of revenues raised in a public offering in both the 2021-22 and 2020-21 financial years.
In total, $15 million was raised in the 2021-22 fiscal year, which is a 131% increase over the previous year.
The highest bonus bid received on a lease in this offering is over half a million dollars for a 194.5-hectare lease in the Estevan area.
Lampman also received the highest amount bidded per hectare, at just under $8,000.
The first sale of the 2022-23 fiscal year is slated for April 5.
