Widespread flight cancellations has been one of the top topics for Saskatchewan travellers - or would-be travellers - this winter.

Now scammers are using it as a route to defrauding people of their money.

The Estevan Police Service announced they received a report on Friday of a scam where the caller said they were offering refunds for Sunwing, and asked for banking information.

The target did not give any information in this case.

Police remind you to not share any private or personal information with unverified callers.
