The Souris Valley Theatre is gearing up for an exciting summer with the launch of its Melodye Pierson Youth Drama Camps and daily drop-in programs, running through July and August.

Jenna Fleck, one of the camp counsellors and a local talent from Lampman, shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming programs. "If you're interested in drama, this camp is for you," Fleck said. "We'll be doing some fun drama games, working to connect with the kids, and exposing them to the creative world of performing arts and theatre."

The camps cater to children aged 5 to 16, with sessions running from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. Fleck will be working alongside Katrina, a recent graduate in communication disorders from Minot State University, who will be pursuing her master's in speech pathology in the fall.

In addition to the camps, the theatre offers daily drop-in programs for children aged eight and up. "Our daily programs range from Readers Theatre to our Three-minute Script," Fleck explained. "We have a behind-the-scenes day, where kids can see how a show is put together and attend a matinee of our Jailhouse Rock show."

For more information and to register, visit sourisvalleytheatre.com or follow the theatre's Facebook and Instagram pages. Flyers and posters around town also provide details on the programs.

Don't miss out on this chance to let your children explore the magic of theatre this summer!
