With the school season coming up, play parks are coming to an end in the City of Estevan.

"The play parks have been wonderful this season, the hot weather has certainly kept them busy and the kids seem to like to cool off in that water," shared Erin Wilson the Program Manager for the City of Estevan.

"Our attendance numbers were good, very consistent from the years past and probably a few more swimmers this season with the weather we've had because it also meant the pools were open. We only really had a couple days where we close down due to that bad weather."

"We're happy with this year, we're happy every year. This year with the warm weather it seemed to bring a lot more families out and we like to see the kids staying active and enjoying the water," she stated.

The community helped the program run this summer.

"Thank you to the community for supporting this play park program, a lot of what we do is based off their donations and with out the support that we get from them this wouldn't be an easy program to run. They really do make it a fun summer for the play leaders and for the planners.'
