Estevan Police Service answered 68 calls this past weekend, with thefts and fraud being the main subject. 

According to EPS, multiple complaints about thefts under $5,000 from many businesses and a fraud involving buying a car were looked into. Calls for impaired driving and several complaints about unruly patrons were also assessed. 

The police responded to the following calls on Monday: 

Police, along with Fire and EMS responded to an electrical fire at a business in the Scottsburn area. Police assisted with traffic control and were eventually released from the scene.

Police responded to a 911 call- female was heard on the line, however, unable to determine what the emergency was. Members attended and attempted to assist the female. A 31 year old female from Estevan was arrested for Assaulting a Police officer. She was transported and lodged in cells. She will be released once sober with a court date in April.

Police received a report of a suspicious person at a gas station. Caller was concerned for the lone employee and asked members to attend. Members attended and everything was fine.

Police received a report of criminal harrassment. Statements were provided and a 36 year old male from Estevan was arrested. He was released on an undertaking and will speak to his charge in April.

Police were dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute. Members attended and spoke with all parties involved. It was confirmed that an argument had taken place, however, nothing physical. No further police involvement was required.

Police were called to the hospital for a motion alarm from a vacant ward. An entire search and sweep of the hospital was conducted and nobody was located. Matter remains under investigation.

A 30 year old female from Estevan turned herself in on outstanding warrants. She was released with a court date in March.
