The milestones are mounting for Estevan's Brayden Pachal.

The 6-foot-2 defenceman captained the Prince Albert Raiders to a WHL championship in 2019.

He made his NHL debut on March 15, 2022, and skated in his first playoff game the following spring as the Vegas Golden Knights went on to win the Stanley Cup.

And Thursday night in San Jose, Pachal notched his first NHL goal.

"I think the boys were super excited," said Pachal in his postgame scrum the Golden Knights posted to X. "I came in and there was a lot of hooting and hollering and a lot of congratulations, so it was pretty cool."

The 24-year-old has 14 regular-season games under his belt, and has also posted two assists.

He said he's had that first goal on his mind for a long time.

"It's super cool. Like you said, it's a dream come true. Growing up playing hockey, it's one of the things that you dream of is scoring your first NHL, and I'm super fortunate and grateful to have done that tonight."
