The youth are the future.

The South Saskatchewan Community Foundation is partnering with RBC to form the RBC Future Launch Community Challenge. Donna Ziegler, Executive Director of SSCF explains.

"It's about inviting the youth to really have some impact in their communities and putting that power into the youth's hands to address local priorities that they feel are important"

The RBC Future Launch Community Challenge will enable youth to apply for funding to support their bold ideas and address urgent community priorities. Ziegler goes on to explain how many grants are available for our area.

"In South Saskatchewan, we have six grants available, that is in our geographical area. So from, Davidson down to the US border, east and west to each of the provincial borders, outside of Regina. So these are for small and midsize communities"

Ziegler says she hopes they receive many applications for these grants as it is a way to provide youth with an opportunity to have the experience, get some skills that they did not have before, to mentor with an organization and help prepare them for what the work world might look like.

Grants applications are accepted between May 22 and September 18, 2019. For more information, you can go to the website here.
