The Estevan Police Services were out in full force during this year's Beach Bash and according to Police Chief, Paul Ladouceur, it was a great event.

"Fantastic. We had tons of members out there doing high visibility check-stops. We were working in partnership with the RCMP, CTSS, and Weyburn Police so we had all hands on deck you may say."

There was a lot of publicity beforehand regarding the shuttle service and other ways beach-goers could get home safely.

"We stopped numerous vehicles, no impaired drivers which was great to see. Obviously the message was out there loud and clear."

He adds that they didn't receive any reports of significant problems.

"The RCMP were there as well and I don't thing they had any major concerns so all in all a great event and no big problems."
