The annual Dickens Festival was in Carlyle over the weekend once again.

Dickens was created as a starter to the Christmas season and to get people excited for the holidays. It is based around the Victorian era and people were encouraged to dress as such.

The event holds a whole bunch of different things for the public to take part in or view.

These included their own festival of trees, horse and carriage rides, singers, tons of food as well as smoking deals at businesses around town.

On Sunday the community was able to take in the performance, "Arrgh Humbug" presented by the Cornerstone Theatre.

Overall the public was able to have a great time and take in many different things and get to take in multiple experiences.
