Late Monday afternoon a vehicle rolled over while travelling through the drive-thru lane of a local fast food establishment.

According to Deputy Police Chief Murray Cowan, it was quite a unique situation.

"When the vehicle entered the drive-thru, they bumped the curb with their vehicle and the drivers reaction at the time was just to try and stop, but instead of hitting the break pedal they accidentally hit the gas pedal."

"The sudden acceleration caused the vehicle to move forward and ramp itself into the menu sign of the drive-thru, leaving the vehicle tipped over on its side."

There were no injuries as a result of the accident.

EPS says the matter is currently under investigation.
