There were some tense moments in northwest corner of Crosby, North Dakota early on Tuesday morning, as law enforcement including the Minot SWAT and Negotiations Team responded to a call about shooting going on from a residence at about 2:40 AM. Multiple shots were fired from inside while the police were on the scene.

A perimeter was set up, reverse 911 calls were made to residents in the area telling them to shelter in place, and two schools in the vicinity were immediately placed on lock down.

At approximately 11:00 AM, a male identified as Jeremy Kessler emerged from the residence and was taken into custody. 

The incident is still under investigation.
