It looks as though Estevan may get a sunny and warm weekend.

"There doesn't look like there will be any surprises," explains regional meteorologist, John Paul Cragg.

"The next major storm could possibly move in after the weekend for Monday and Tuesday but it's still up in the air," he adds. "Until then we are looking at fairly clear skies and warming temperatures."

He adds that the temperature at this time are colder than average but by the weekend, the warm air will boost the temperature up closer to normal. The expected highs are 16 for Saturday and 14 for Sunday.

After that, temperatures are expected to drop off due to cold air system that is sticking around the western part of Canada and the US.

"We'll likely have average to below average temperature for May. We have colder air that sits and continuing for the first couple weeks until 12th of May."
