Daily COVID-19 cases fell today after the weekend, with 68 new cases and 119 recoveries, bringing the total up to 47,427 cases detected in Saskatchewan.

There were three deaths reported today - one was in their 60s in the North Central zone, another in their 70s in the North West, and the third was in the under-19 age range, also in the North West. 

The new seven-day average for cases dropped to 97.

There were no new cases in the entire South East region, including South East Sub Zone 4, where Estevan is located. Five recoveries were in the South East, bringing the total amount of active cases to 79. The region performed 26 tests for COVID-19, for a total of 49,998 tests done in the South East.

Active cases in South East Sub Zone 4 are at 21.

Another 8,628 doses of the vaccine were given out in Saskatchewan, bringing the total amount distributed to 809,400 shots, with 138,040 people being fully vaccinated.

78 per cent of people over 40, 72 per cent of people over 30, 67 per cent of those over 18, and 65 per cent of people over 12 have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.
