The long weekend is fast approaching, and many communities are gearing up to celebrate Canada’s 151st Birthday on Sunday, July 1st. If you’re looking to join in on the fun here are 7 CELEBRATIONS happening around Southeast Saskatchewan this weekend.

1. Celebrate the True North, Estevan
Celebrate Canada’s birthday a few days early with the City of Estevan on Friday, June 29th. Events begin at 3:00 pm with children’s entertainment from Funtazm at 4:00 pm. There will be family-friendly activities like bouncy castles, cotton candy, lawn games, a reverse dunk tank and more! Local Emergency Services will be attending with Fire Trucks and Police Cruisers on display.

Activities mature at 8:00 pm with the opening of a Beer Garden and cover band, Men Without Shame, to perform at 9:00 pm. Fireworks are scheduled for 10:00 pm and will be followed up the national anthem and birthday cake! More information can be found HERE.

2. Canada Day at Kinsmen Park, Estevan
With celebrations kicking off at 11:00 am, the Estevan Kinsmen and Kinettes are hosting their annual Canada Day celebration in Kin Park. The event promises 4 hours of popular Canadian music, free hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn, as well as activities for the whole family like face painting, swimming, and yard games. 3. Bienfait Canada Day Celebrations
The summer wouldn’t be complete without the annual host of Canada celebrations out in Bienfait, SK. This year the community has planned a fun-filled day for everyone! Starting bright and early with a Pancake Breakfast at 7:00 am and finishing at dusk with their traditional firework display, they have filled the day with fun activities like a Trade Show, Kiss the Pig contest, Petting Zoo, Cake Walk, and Fireman’s Rodeo. 4. Carnduff Canada Day Celebrations
Looking the start the Canada Long Weekend off with a bang on Friday? Look no further. The Town of Carnduff will be hosting their Canada Day Celebrations on Friday, June 29th with their annual Tractor Pull still planned for July 1st. Everything kicks off at 4:00 pm on Friday and they have inflatable bouncers, henna tattoos, face painting, live music, beer gardens, and a local talent show scheduled for the afternoon and evening. 5. Oungre Memorial Regional Park Canada Day Celebrations
Some unique events planned out at Oungre’s Memorial Regional Park for Canada Day this year. Not only will there be a Pancake Breakfast at 8:00 am and Parade at 1:00 pm, but the park will also host a Community Church Service, Antique Tractor Show, and Music Jamboree throughout the festivities. 6. Redvers Canada Day Celebrations
The Town of Redvers has been “extremely busy” planning this year’s Canada Day celebrations for July 1st. Promising activities for all ages, they will have a Pancake Breakfast, Slow Pitch Tournament, Parade, Magic Show, Food, Drinks, and Fireworks throughout the day and into the evening. 7. Stoughton Canada Day Celebrations
Stoughton’s Canada Day Celebrations will take place at Taylor Memorial Park, beginning at 5:00 pm with a BBQ hosted by the Stoughton Lions Club.
