A construction site can be a constantly changing environment, always adjusting to the circumstances happening around it.

That said, the Henry Street detour route around the King Street rehabilitation project keeps seeing a trend of irresponsible motorists, and as a result, the City of Estevan is adding more temporarily controlled intersections.

"A new item for all drivers to be aware of is the intersection of Henry Street and Spruce Drive. It's now controlled by a three way stop," stated Safety Officer Helen Fornwald.

"Be aware that the speed limit has been reduced to 30 kilometers, from Dufferin Avenue to Spruce Drive."

She also reiterated the importance of slowing down and obeying all the traffic signs and limits posted along the route, as well as cautioning against moving work zone barricades.

"Estevan Police Service members will be out monitoring and enforcing the area. Anyone caught driving through or moving the barricades can face serious charges."
